Those Dawgs worked out hard and trust you Coach. What a great picture. Missing on the picture Jack, Cécile, Jon and Angie. The preparation for the sectionals got everybody to know themselves troughs lots of different fitness situations, everybody got better. Some did not post but everybody followed religiously. (I'm not religious... :)
WHOOO HOOOO BIG DAWGS. Nice pic team :) I have been training my booty off down here in Florida and enjoying the SUNSHINE. It has been super crazy in the heat but good. Did the flight simulator the otherday after my training for fun, hahha and it was a barfer. 9:22 min of dripping sweat. CU all on Monday, back to the grind :)
I've got my regional in Ohio in exactly 15 days. I'm planning on beating myself up pretty bad Sat and Sunday with the triple and double. This will probably be my last chance to exceed capacities and have time to rebuild. Thoughts?
Just had a quick question. Just getting started doing the Wods posted on the website. Does everyone choose either the early may or late may workout, or are you supposed to remain consistent with one or the other? thanks
Anon... These are customized to peak for the various regionals competitors. Once regionals are over, coach may go back to a single program again. Both programs will be on fire through the weekend. If you need to ease into the program, jump on the early may as they will start to taper starting next week, otherwise, jump on the late may. Either way, get yourself an account and start posting your results on a regular basis. This benefits not only you but all the dawgs that post here every day.
Another Canada East (New Brunswick) Big Dawg here...
Just found out yesterday that as an alternate I got the call up to Regionals.
After Sectionals I started following Catalyst Athletics programming to improve my lifting. Now I have a month until Regionals and I am switching back to OPT as of today!
Can't wait to hit these workouts again, see everyone in Calgary.
What do you do for the week before the games? I've followed what I can, but it all got complicated with a family emergency which took me away for a few, and some business travel. I feel good, ready, and I'm thinking this week (before CO) I stay limber. Training the next few days will be spotty due to work and travel.
Got a little off track, but not too much. Did some workouts from home, but no chin up bar. Hope to have that rectified soon.
Did SDLHP with 60 #'s 15 x 1.5 pood KBS 15 x 20 DU's 400 meter run
5 rounds no time recorded but it was brutal.
Next day, Thursday, same WO, but 10 more #'s on the SDLHP's x 20, 20 x KBS, & 20 DU's, 400 meter run, 6 rounds, 36.30. Didn't puke, so I guess I'm not going hard enough. Running after DU's is 'taxing'.
Friday - WU with i mi. walk, 5 rounds of 20 DU's, 15 dowel bar front to back OH,15 dowel OH squaats, knee, hip torso rotations, arms swings x 10 each way, 5 burpees. Then 5 sets of 10 thrusters with 90#'s, weighted chin ups, 2 @ 35 #'s, 2 @ 45 #'s, failed attempt at 70 #'s, then 10 90# power snatches, 10 HPC's 10, 20 SDHP's, 20 chins, 10 toes to bar. I'm outta here.
Last days motto, "The will to win is worthless unless you have the will to prepare" was motivating. You cannot just show up and expect to compete...they'll know.
Yha Brothers and sisters!!!
